Sexy (Cartoon) Men: The Winx boys are Hot

March 31, 2007 at 9:58 pm (Margo Lukas Books, Romance Books, Samhain, Sexy Men)

Okay, I admit it.  I have to watch the Winx Club every Saturday morning.  I even put a tape in the night before so I don’t miss it.  There’s action, romance, cool clothes, and…sexy cartoon guys 🙂  Sky is dreamy, but my fave is Riven, the bad boy.

Riven

Come on.  Look at that hair.  And the British flag shirt.  He’s the punk rocker of the fairy realm.

Also had a good day of MBaMHalf Moon Rising hit #7 on the top ten seller list.  What a great way to end the week 🙂

Thursday Thirteen: Favorite The Police and Sting Songs

March 29, 2007 at 9:46 am (Thursday Thirteen)

I’m switching the order.  Doing a little David Letterman….

Does anyone remember a poster of The Police circa 1983? They are all wearing black and Sting is standing in the front with his arms crossed. Oh, his beautiful arms!!!   I hung that poster so Sting and I were eye to eye.  🙂

HALF MOON RISING IS OUT!!!!!

March 27, 2007 at 12:45 am (Margo Lukas Books, Romance Books)

My cover for Half Moon Rising I’m so happy,  I can’t put it into words!

Today I’m blogging over at the Samhain Blog with the other new release authors.  Please come over and check us out.

Here’s a teaser of my post:

How much do you know about your great-grandparents? Perhaps you know their names, birthdates, off-spring.  Maybe their occupation.  But I bet that is about it.  Unless your ancestors left letters or journals, their secrets died with them.

What if their “secrets” included the ability to shift form into either a wolf, or a monstrous Beast?

Don’t you want to read more?

300! Wow, What a Movie

March 24, 2007 at 4:20 pm (Movies, Sexy Men)

King Leonidas

It took me 3 weeks to see it, but there wasn’t one thing I didn’t like about this move.

Lena Headey made a great Queen Gorgo. I won’t say what she does in the movie that made me clap and cheer, but this woman is not a typical TSTL movie eye-candy.  Do not mess with the Queen.

Gerard Butler as King Leonidas: Awesome. Inspiring. Tragic. Utterly Male!!!!!

Michael Fassbender as Stelios (The one who says “Than we shall fight in the shade.) is one to watch.  I’m sure he is fueling a few fantasies out there.  Here’s a still shot on the Yahoo movie page.

As I told my sister, “Yep, there is gore, but with all the beautiful male flesh, you won’t have a problem forgiving a few severed limbs!”

Plus, the relationship between Queen Gorgo and King Leonidas was a great portrayal of mature married people and how deep that love can be.  Hottest married sex I’ve seen (on the screen) for a long time.  Frank Miller knows the score.

When does the DVD release??? 🙂

Thursday Thirteen: Things That Scare Me

March 22, 2007 at 1:43 pm (Thursday Thirteen)

A little late 🙂

Thirteen Things about MARGO LUKAS: Things that scare me:

1…. My daughter becoming anaphylaxis from her peanut allergy and giving her the Epi-pen shot, but it doesn’t work.  She left her Epi-pens in the car overnight….which is bad because they can’t be below 59 for an extended time and it could make the medicine ineffective.  Many tears, but I had to make sure she understands she can’t leave them in the car.  Her allergy is the one area neither one of us can screw-up, and yet we do…

2…Tornados at night.  I have a weather radio, but I still worry.  We have a cinderblock shower (no we don’t use it!) in our basement.  I always tell my husband, “If the house is blown down, look for us in there.

3…A bite from a brown recluse spider.

4…Eating undercooked meat.

5…Coming to an intersection and a car is suppose to stop, but you can see that it ISN’T SLOWING DOWN.  “Is that car going to stop!?!”

6…Nuclear attacks from China or some crazy terrorist.

7…My daughters living under a regime that doesn’t recognize women’s rights.

8…Pitt Bull dogs.

9…My four-year-old falling down the stairs.  You should see her in the morning.  She’s a little sleepy-eyed rag doll, yet she insists on going down the stairs by herself.

10…Becoming disabled at a young age.

11…My husband becoming disabled at a young age.

12…Living in a trailer house.

13…A new flu epidemic

Okay, how were those for dark and depressing? Oh, it’s just one of THOSE days 😦

2nd Surprise!

March 19, 2007 at 10:34 pm (About Margo)

My dearest hubby is a faux finisher.  He paints these beautiful walls that make my house look a lot better than it should :).

This weekend he had a booth at a local  home show.  He worked very hard on it, even though he had 103 temp last Thursday.  He painted two columns to look like marble and put out some wonderful accessories (which he chose all by himself).  It was so good his booth won second prize for best booth.

But what has us giggling on the couch is our little 4 year old.  According to her, he won “second surprise”.  What’s better than a surprise?

Sexy Man: Tommy Donnelly (Jonathan Tucker) in his Tighty Whiteys

March 6, 2007 at 9:39 pm (Sexy Men)

The Black Donnellys.  I started watching it because it came after Heroes.  Now I’m watching it because the lead character, Tommy Donnelly (played by Jonathan Tucker), has one hell of a body.  Okay, so it’s the actor with the hot body, but it was the character who stood in a warehouse washing off blood with a garden hose in nothing but his cute little undies 🙂  Plus he has serious arm muscles.  Yum, yum, yummy.

There was something so intimate about seeing a young male in his REAL underwear!  Men all over America walk around in tight, white briefs.  And we got to see a hot one last night.  Watching that scene I felt almost like a peeping tom.  Maybe the whole “splattered with blood” was a bit much, but if that is what it took to show the hose scene afterward….  🙂

Here’s a pic of the actor in character.  Enjoy.  I tried to find a screen capture of the above scene, but no luck.  Maybe next week.
